A post after a long time!!

Is it worth writing? Questions need to be asked these days. Not writing for so many days and being far from blog world for many many months, there is something that tells me that I should write.

But what?

What is there to write at this moment?

Time has changed as it always does. Last time, when I published my blog or when I wrote last time, I was officially a student in a University. Now, I am no more a student.

The status message has changed since then. Now, I am more an executive cum consultant. I have joined a job where I need to advise on various tax issues to my clients.

I recently joined this job in June after being graduated. I completed my University successfully and did pass my B.A; L.L.B (Hons.).

Recently, I had my graduation- Convocation in my University on July 18th. It was nice to see my old friends back in the University, almost all leaving one or two.

I miss those old good days. Missing University and Hotel life.

When I started writing this blog post, I cant remember, but I want to finish it today-14th September.

Life seems to be busier these days. I hardly get any time to do anything on weekdays. On weekdays, I just need to take rest and days are passing just like that.

The job in a way is a rigorous one, that’s what I am finding but there is no alternative as well. I need to stick with it and complete all the tasks on time.

Though we put only 40 hours in our time sheet for a week (8hours*5 days), we actually end up working more than 55 hours per week. There is no alternative to it and I am just getting used to with it and enjoying the job.

My work is based at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India and I work in Indirect Tax Department where I need to advise clients on the issues of Customs Laws, Excise, VAT, Entry Tax, Profession Tax and on issues of dumping and anti-dumping duty.

Today, it feels strange writing this blog after a long time. I did not post anything almost for 9 months. The pressure of study and work was always there but it was more to do with sheer laziness. Being a human beings, the greatest obstacle in our life is not working and being controlled by our laziness. That I hate but unfortunately can not escape from the grip of it.

I am not sure how often I will be updating this page and how often U readers, can see a new post on it. But, there will be a constant endeavour from my side to update it regularly.

After completing my undergraduate, I had desire to study my Masters, LLM but for the time being, it has been stalled. I hope to revive my desire to be student again and go to colleges/ University. Though Lawyers are supposed to study always and our job requirements require it, I am not that able to devote my time fully on my study. I am constantly struggling and struggling.

I am looking forward to great September and half of October. I am flying to Mumbai tomorrow for my training arranged by my office. It is a five days training and I will be back to Hyderabad on 19th Friday nights. Saturday and Sundays are holiday. So, I have great weekdays and weekends. Again, there is another two days Human Resource Induction Training in Hyderabad. That means I need not go to office those days. So, my office days in September are effectively reduced to very few days. In October, I am attending only one day, that is October First and then, head home to Nepal, Jhapa District for Dashain. It is the Dashain that I am looking forward to attend after a long gap of five years. I will be in Home in Dashain and I can’t imagine how great it is going to be.

And this is all from my side about me and my job. Now, forgetting about me and job, generally, life is good in India. But, these days, there are frequent bomb blasts in major cities in India carried out by Terrorists. That really worries us. There are people who are fighting in the name of religion and are really motivated to kill innocent citizens and people who have not committed any mistakes in life. It is sad for us to watch everyday that kind of news and after that the plight of victims and their next kin. There is a strong need to break the back of terrorists. I hope that porous border of Indo- Nepal has not been mis-utilized to carry out these dastardly activities.

Comrade Prachanda is coming to India as Nepalese Prime Minister. We hope that he raises many issues that have put Nepal in unfavorable situation in the past. He should talk on the issues of cross border terrorism, greater economic cooperation, greater cooperation in energy sector, Education, Infrastructure Development and issues of terrorisms. Now, Nepal has enormous task to make country suitable for foreign direct investment and Indian companies are the best suited to expand there. There are a lot of potential gains that we can receive from India.

And, let’s see how the events unfold in coming days. Keep on visiting my page. I will be back with regular updates in coming days, hopefully.

MY LAST ENTRY IN WORDPRESS.COM

I have always admired WordPress.com. When I started writing blog, I started from many domains which used to offer and still offering spaces for blog. I had thought word press will be the last domain that I will be using for the blog. But, as time passed and new ideas came into my mind, I found that www.Wordpress.com has been very inefficient for me to provide enough space for my desires and thoughts. So, I am transferring my blog again to the blogspot.com. I did not like Blogspot.com because of many reasons and I dedicated One Article about my blog journey (You can check that Article here: https://talkingforum.wordpress.com/2006/07/26/just-a-first-post/)

But today again, I have to embrace blogspot.com. I am sorry for the difficulties caused to my readers but I kindly request you to navigate from this page in the future and keep on looking my updates in http://www.talkingforum.blogspot.com

Holiday Blog

Ok, I am back again in my blog after a gap of some days. Nothing much to write here but it is necessary to write something when Blog is made. Let’s start with some events that took place in world in last week and before that.

As you remember that I was updating with the events that took place in International scenario last week when North Korea became Nuclear Korea. I was thinking what may be the reaction of Nepal Government. Sadly, it is quite insignificant what Nepal says in International Scenario about any important events but being a sovereign and an independent government, something is expected from the government and may be a bit later but press release was issued by the Nepal Government with expected remarks condemning such tests. Let’s see what happens the stand of China and Russia in imposing the sanctions against Korea. Till the time this Blog was typed, I could read the news that China and Russia have taken a bit soft stand as compared to US. One thing they are clear that any military action against North Korea will not provide any solution and other economic sanctions are the best means to teach the lesson. But, whatever they do should not ignite the fire of nuclear war….that is what general people around the world feel.

One more thing is going to happen soon. Ban Ki Moon (what a BANKI pareko Name!) seems to be elected unopposed as a Secretary in United Nations. There was Sashi Thooror as another candidate from India but he withdrew later after getting some negative votes in preliminary rounds. I am just wondering how Nepal would have responded. Expected Result is that Nepal would second India in that matter for India assisted a lot to re-establish Democracy back in Nepal. But, anti-India sentiments in Nepal must have played little role to deviate Government’s stand had such situation arisen. Let’s not conjecture at this stage.

Now, Coming back to my country, it seems that negotiations between parties and Maoists is going to take some shape but still there are a lot of dissents among them. They need to fill the gap and move ahead with the common motto of eliminating feudal monarchy. Let’s hope they can do it. I have nothing much to write here now. I will be back soon with new entries on coming days. Just take very much great care of yourself.

DASHAIN AAYO!!!!

In Today’s Times of India, in one Corner, there was a small column. That column was dedicated to explain Navaratri and along with its title in the paper, there was written somewhere in one side about special Navaratri Edition or something like that. Though Times of India is not the type of Paper I love to read, it happened that I had to read Times of India when I had to pass those good moments available for me after bunking first two classes. I had given a Bird’s View on THE HINDU before I left my hostel to go to Dining Hall, THE HINDU nowhere, talked about Navaratri so far as I remembered at that time.

As soon as I saw that small column on Times of India, I had little suspicion and anxiety to know whether today is GHATASTHAPANA or not, the first day of my great Festival DASHAIN. Later, I asked the same question to my two Nepali Juniors in the University, but they expressed their ignorance like me. When I checked News around 1.30, then, only I realised that Today is GATASTHAPANA. What a surprise! Dashain is coming near and near and it is so near but we all were ignorant of it, so pleasantly sad moment.

This will be my 4th Dashain (and even TIHAR) that I am not in home consecutively. The last Dashain I celebrated was 2002 AD’s Dashain. After that, not only I am not with my family but have not celebrated Dasahain at all. Previous Three Dashain went without any charm and enthusiasm and frankly, I did not feel so sad as compared to this Year. May be earlier, our country was marred in violence and we all are affected by it, that made me feel why to celebrate festival in such a grave tragic situation of the country. This year we can see the positive signs. People’s powers have been returned to people and violence has been stopped. We are in a great hope that our leaders will translate this peace to a living reality of the ages that yet to come. In such a pleasant background, I hope this Dashain will be different from preceding years’ Dasahain.  May Durga Bhawani bless all of US!

I am feeling sad because I can not attend Dashain in this year too and may be not next year’s too but I want to feel my country’s new hopes and the way people want to celebrate it. When we will be far from our country, unfortunately, sometimes we can not keep track of events also. Like till today, I did not know how far Dashain is. It’s really a great festival that I miss. Country must be really exalted to have a new festival without any disturbance.

Slightly changing my talks, why we celebrate this festival? There are a lot of stories from every Hindu Epic. Some relate Dashain with Ram’s return to his native land, some victory over Ravana and etc etc.. While I was talking in the morning with my Junior Nepali Deepika, She told us (me and Samridha-another junior) that she wants money on the day of Tika from both of us. It’s true that children obviously love this festival because of monetary aspects too. Being a son also, I had enjoyed receiving Money from my Mawali Hajurbuwa(Mother’s father). That was an added adavantage. While thinking those days, feelings crop in mind in a way to make me feel sadder for being unable to attend Dashain. For those who are able to attend Dashain this year Happy VijayaDashami. Celebrate the Festival with new hopes, new desires and with new dreams of New Nepal.

Jaya Durge!!!!!!!!!

Nothing Great…….

I had just started studying some documents on Trade Law, but the sleepy mind is hunting me constantly. I thought it’s better to write something than to sleep. There is nothing great that I can write here, or nothing great that I have to write here. I am updating Cricket Score between Australia and India from Internet since there is no cable Connection Today in our Hostel. Background Music is “Aaj Jane ka Jid na karo”. I am listening to all the music from my computer and if I find any song not good, I am deleting them. My 40GB hard disc is almost full with so many documents and Songs. I am cleaning it. As part of my Seminar, I have to study International trade Law and I am just reading some of the documents related to SAPTA and SAFTA. Both these documents are related to the Free Trade in South Asia.

Updating………

I am very sleepy now. very very sleepy. so, thought that it’s good to write something in this unupdated blog. What to write? almost nothing. Nothing to write but I shall try to kepp on bluffing something. Let’s give a bird’s view to my activities that I had done after I updated my blog with last entry on around 9th Semptember. A lot of pressure of study, so many projects to do and so much to Read in Interpretation of Statutes, Judicial Process and Legislative Drafting(IOS), little time to relax. Forget about that Josh and Jagar to write something in Blog.

After updating my blog, again, I will be reading a new Case from my Reading Materials for my Tomorrow’s class. Looking back at the last week, What I did was almost nothing. I just read papers and kept on following News. Recent Coup in Thailand is a news that I am closely following after Cricket-DLF Cup between India, Australia and West Indies. Tomorrow’s India and Australia match is going to be a real fight between the two good teams, I hope we can enjoy watching that one.

Last week, we had our Mid Semester Exam. I did better in Intellectual Property Rights(IPRs) and IOS as compared to other three. last week was full of rain, it rained almost three days continuously. now, sun Shines day, we have seen…….whatever may be there to come in future, life is good……….Take care.

Writing something: My Life in/Travel to New Delhi

waiting for train in New Delhi

Yes, I was back to my usual place some days before but I have not been able to write anything. I am slightly suffering from common cold and running nose and that was hindering me to write something here but though I am not fully fit yet, I am trying to type something today.

From where to start? Ok, I will start from my new plans. If you remember, I had written in my Nepali Blog, (I mean that one when I tried to write in Nepali,) that I do not have Digital Camera and can not take photos of much of the things around and can not give the Photo Blog. But, still with the help of some kind and generous friends, they have given me the opportunity of taking some photos around wherever I went. Some Photos are a bit old, say as old as 8/9 months. But, I am thinking to make blogs based on those photos. I will write my experience of visiting those places and feelings when I was there. How is my plan? I think it is not a bad idea.

Now, Next thing, you know that recently, I went to New Delhi and Pune. I always like Delhi. This is my 5th or 6th visit to that place and everytime, I go there, I like it. Flat big Roads, very clean Main Roads, Big Malls, too much happenings and good people around. That is the feature of Delhi. Good people in the sense good looking people. I am not talking about the good charactered people. In terms of attitude and unhelpfulness, Delhi people are far ahead than people from any other states though I have many Good and kind hearted Friends from there. If you are new in Delhi, it’s better if you do not expect much help from people there. neither from general public, nor from autorikshaw wallas, nor from Dhaba wallas and not from Bus wallas. Study little about the Roads and places in Delhi and go there and make very bold decisions without any fear based on your knowledge. If you believe much in the words of others, you will be nicely cheated and some occasion easily looted in a similar way as one of my friends was, recently in June, was looted there.

Though New Delhi has so many drawbacks, I like it very much. So many opportunities there and so many centres and hub for knowledge. For a law student like me, Supreme Court of India, Indian Law Institute, Indian Society of International Law, Delhi University and Jawahar Lal Neharu University etc are in Delhi, and they truly represent the meeting point for galaxy of scholars.

But, this time one incident in Delhi really made me feel sad. There is one Area called Tibetan Market, which is Majnu ka Tila in Arunanagar Colony. There are many hotels established by Nepalis…..Most are nepali Buddhists from Bouddha Kathmandu. That place is on the Ring Road of Delhi and a bit cheaper and quiet but this time, those people refused to provide me any rooms there. I explained in Nepali also that I am from Nepal but despite having room empty, they refused to let me stay there. My face is slightly similar to Uttar Pradesh and Bihari people, as my friends tell me, and their policy there was not to provide any rooms unless you look Mangolian Chinky. It’s very sad, and pure case of discrimination and very unfortunate. Of Course, their behaviour does not deter me to go to Delhi and I got and will get as many Hotels to stay in Delhi so long as I pay but it really makes anybody feel sad. At last, I stayed in some Hotel in Paharganj; it is near from New Delhi railway station.

Even with some problems in Delhi, I admired it except some of the irritating instances.

One of them is New Delhi Railway Station, Paharganj. I think it is the most stinking and unorganised Indian railways platform. So much crowd there and much disorganised Platforms. And Delay of railways in India is a general rule rather than exception. Same thing happened on 24th August also. My Train was supposed to come at 11 O’clock but it came more than half an hour late and on that hot day, It was ridiculous to wait for those delay trains that too on stinking platforms. Once Train came, we, I and My friend, started journey to Pune. I will describe the events of pune and journey towards it on my next Blog.

Kindly bear the big picture and wrong date on the photo. Use FireFox mozilla for good view.

Ok, I am back again.

Hi folks……I am here in my room in Hyderabad, India again. I am back from my long trip. In my last post, I had said u(u remember) that I am going to Delhi and Pune from there. Yes, I went there and just yesterday morning, I arrived back to my University. Had loads of funs, met with many peoples there, met many friends and at last, I had to take a sad Step towards Hyderabad………Yes, sad very sad, and that sad step also, I took. We are bound or guided by time. So, I am. Now, I have many photos of the tour and manything to say and write here but I will be taking some days to put those Photos here. But, Do not worry. I will be writing and updating my blog regularly…….See You till next entry.

My Last blog.

YES, it is my last blog for this week. I am plannong to go for a trip around some Indian Metros and city for almost 10 days and will not be updating my blog for more than a week but as soon as I come back, I will be updating my blog with some information and photos that I will have. So, For the time being, read this blog and Enjoy…..and keep on waiting to see my updated entry. As far as my plans are concerned, I will be updating this page only on 29th of August after Today.

But, Today, I will be talking a lot of things. I try to give you enough dose/diet from this entry today that I hope You will never be bored within this coming weeks eventhough You see me unupdated blogs.
Yesterday, I gave a try to type in Nepali language and You can see in previous entry how badly and pathetically I typed there. I think I should give up idea of typing in Nepali except some poems and Gazals that I love. Otherwise, I can not see my future in blogging in Nepali Language. Now, natural questions may arise in ur mind that do I have future in blogging typing the contents in English Language. I think so but the more accurately and with more preciseness, You can tell me. Your each and every sweet and sour comments, I would appreciate without any pain. I hope that you will be guiding me on coming days. You means only you and all of you who love to read me.

About my plan, I am heading north to Delhi and from there to Puna from my south City Hyderabad. In Delhi, I will be meeting with some of my friends and with a friend, I will be heading to Pune City. There I am presenting a paper on “Corporate Criminal Liability:Issues of Jurisdiction in International Law”. It sound too hype yes! The Conference is organised by Edict-Inter School Law magazine. Last Year also, I presented a paper in First Edict Conference that was held in New Delhi and at that time, my paper title was “Constitution of the Kingdom of Nepal, 1990: Is it still alive?”. Last year, in my paper, I heavily criticized despotic monarch’s ambititious but stupid roadmap by circumventing Constitutional Provisions. People really gave very good response that time and I hope that this year also, I can leave some marks there and can make people feel my presence. It is second Edict Conference in that sequence.
I have heard that many people, around 16 students from Kathmandu School of law, Kathmandu are coming there to attend the conference. I am not sure about the numbers but surely, 4/5 students are certain to come there, according to information that I have got. I am looking forward to meeting them and welcoming them and exchanging words with them about the current situation of the country and about the emerging scientific legal Education. We, the young generation, of course, should have discourse on the emerging scenarios in the world. But, I have a very busy schedule there and already people are waiting my arrival there to meet with me…All my nepalese Friends. We will certainly revive our old days there. Even more than this, the friend that I meet in Delhi will bring more aroma in my feelings and thoughts and I am extremely delighted to meet so many friends around.

This is my plan for rest of the days and all my academic works currently have been devoted to make it successful. Immediately after this Edict Conference, I will be presenting another paper in Hyderabd, most probably but I will be writing about it, only after things will be cared and after 29 of this Month.
I talked a lot of things about me…Now, little thing about my country. The price rise of Petroleum Products seems to spark violent protests. Price Rise is inevitable but it would be better if there was little rise. the rise this time, seems to be very steep. anyway, which government in our country really cares about General People. These are the same old people in slightly changed scenario. I hope that they will do something good for my nation but I am not much optimistic or hopeful from their activities……….
Ok, take care…….Let the Peace Prevail in our Country!

At the last my two line Gazal
